Sponsored content policy
Our readers trust this site because we protect it. This policy is how – and it applies to every paid placement, no exceptions.
Disclosure, always
Paid placements are always disclosed with a visible “Sponsored” label, and all paid links are tagged rel="sponsored". If you can’t tell whether something was paid for, we’ve failed – tell us.
What we accept
Content genuinely relevant to our readers: pregnancy, birth, women’s health, mental wellbeing, parenting, and practitioner tools. Sponsored content is held to the same editorial standards as everything else we publish.
What we decline
- Anything that markets through fear – our audience is women working through fear, and we will not sell to them with it
- Medical claims that can’t be substantiated
- Products that conflict with our readers’ interests
- Anything we wouldn’t put in front of a frightened first-time mum
Editorial coverage cannot be bought
Sponsored content never masquerades as editorial. Our journalists’ and contributors’ coverage decisions are not for sale at any price, and sponsorship of the podcast or newsletter buys reach – not influence over what we write.
Our right to decline
We reserve the right to decline any placement, at any price, for any reason. If we believe a placement no longer meets this policy after publication, we may remove it.
