The team that gets it
Fear Free Childbirth is made by women who carried the fear themselves. That’s not a marketing line – it’s the editorial qualification.
Alexia Leachman
Alexia founded Fear Free Childbirth after discovering – and healing – her own tokophobia. She is the author of Fearless Birthing and Betrayed By Your Biology, originator of the Head Trash Clearance method and the Reproductive Anxiety Disorder (RAD) framework, and has spent a decade helping women clear reproductive fear. She hosts the Fear Free Childbirth podcast – 1.5m+ downloads in 180+ countries – and her work has featured on the BBC, Daily Mail, HuffPost, The Sun, Psychologies and Red.
JJ
JJ leads the publication’s editorial output and guards its standards. A former tokophobia sufferer herself, she co-hosts the Tik-Tokophobia podcast – Fear Free Childbirth’s sister show – and brings lived experience of how far-reaching the fear can be, from relationships to creativity.
The sister podcast: Tik-Tokophobia
Tik-Tokophobia is Fear Free Childbirth’s sister podcast, co-hosted by Alexia and JJ – a conversation between two former sufferers about tokophobia and the lives it shapes. If the main show is the publication’s voice, Tik-Tokophobia is the kitchen-table version.
And our contributors
The publication is built with guest experts – midwives, therapists, researchers and perinatal professionals – and with women who lend us their stories. Every contributor works to our editorial standards. Want to join them? See write for us or be a podcast guest.
